i've used long body ladder jacks before and there is not a product on the market that can compare. By far the Werner ladder jacks exceed all expectations from the general contractor to the week-end do-it-yourself handy man. For under $90.00 painting your house just became a whole lot easier. If you don't own a pair soon, somethings wrong!

The Werner AC10-20-02 Long Body Aluminum Ladder Jacks were just what I needed. I am a do-it-yourselfer who was rebuilding and shingling a garage roof. I needed to have an easy scaffold to do the shingling so that I did not have to keep moving ladders as I shingled. These ladder jacks did the trick. They were easy to assemble and adjust to provide a level scaffold. In addition the retainer "clips" were great for keeping a narrower scaffold from moving around. That provides comfort when working off the ground. They are very strong as both my father and I were able to be on the same scaffold at the same time and we both weigh over 200 lbs. I would recommend these for anyone that needs a good, sturdy, affordable pair of ladder jacks.

After reading the reviews of more than a dozen step ladders, we selected this one because the third step makes a huge difference in reaching the top of our cabinets. The steps are slip-resistant, and wide enough that my 4 year old can sit on the top step and "cook" at the kitchen counter. I also like the locking feature - you can easily tell if you have properly set the stool up before you step on it. And it folds down (not quite as easily as I had thought it would) to take up minimal space when not in use. It is a very sturdy little ladder that I expect will last a very long time (we have had ours now for about 2 months).

5. I feel secure even when standing on top step.
6 rated for 225 lbs. which I am over and so far it is holding up well...but who knows I may be pressing my luck!

Offers great span of adjustment: Louisville ladder leveler will allow for a 15 inch differential of adjustment on extremely uneven terrain. It also has foot pads that are four inch square and equipped with a ball joint that can swivel in all directions. This allows the ladder leveler to conform to irregularities of your terrain. The leveler is easy to adjust, as long as you are within reach of the leveling rod.

The Louisville leveler is easy to adjust for use. Set your ladder up where you want to use it and then reach down to drive the foot down on the side of the ladder where the foot that is out of reach of a landing surface. The adjusted side, when in the extended position, is protected on all sides to prevent accidental release of the leveler.

After years of putting pieces of 2X4 or other wood scraps under my extension ladder to try and stabilize it, this product was the answer I had been looking for. The jointed feet are part of the real benefit since the ground can be any shape and angle and the jointed feet adjust to a stable position - not the case with other stabilizers that can move only in one plane. Seemed a little expensive at first, but this product really works great. Money well spent. Shipping packaage a bit flimsy so check for all parts if the box is torn etc.

Just bought a 32 ft Werner extension ladder. I live in Tennessee so I needed levelers. To use the Werner levelers you have to cut the bottom off the ladder. All the reviews said the were solid but installation appeared to be a problem.

These: just unbolt the ladder feet, then clamp these on and drill four holes per side and bolt them on. Spent a little time making sure they were in the same place on both side and aligned with rails. But took about a half hour.

The Werner model looked more OEM. But these have the feet mounted on ball joints so they swivel in all directions. Make the Ladder very solid and stable . Highly recommended.

These were half the price of the Werner.

Mounting the levelers to your ladder is a little work, but most anyone could do it; all you need is an electric drill & a few small wrenches.

It makes using a ladder on uneven ground much safer, and much faster. Start with both levelers in the up position, set your ladder up where you want it, and then reach down (or use you foot) to push the leveler down on the side of the ladder with the foot off the ground...your done. The latch on the levelers only prevent the feet from moving up, they can be pushed down very easily without using the latch. Also, the latch that holds the foot in the extended position is shielded on four sides so it is almost impossible to accidently release it.

They are well made, sturdy, and easy to use; my only regret is that I didn't give up my 2x4 and C-clamp fix for uneven ground sooner and buy these levelers.
